Academic
The PADI Open Water Diver Certification is made up of three distinct parts, each designed to develop your knowledge base and skills until you feel comfortable and confident diving on your own.
-
Once you book the course with us you will receive a link to complete the theoretical part online. Learning the basics of diving before you head into the water is essential and the topics covered will allow you to build your confidence before entering the water, as well as dispel many common myths and prejudices about diving. Once you have completed your course, a PADI instructor will help you clarify any questions you may have. Once the theoretical part is finished, you can move on to the second part of the course.
-
Now the next step is to get into the water in a confined area such as our pool. Under the supervision of your instructor, you become familiar with many common situations you are likely to encounter during your dives, such as taking off and putting on your mask underwater and even breathing from another diver's air source. These common skills are essential to becoming a safe and confident diver and will form the basis of your skills moving forward towards the final part of the course.
-
The final step to receive your PADI Open Water Diver certification is to complete 4 open water scuba dives in the majestic Pacific Ocean. It's time to put what you've learned into practice and explore the marine world.
You may be able to earn college credit for the Open Water course Diver. You have little time? The course PADI Scuba Diver might be right for you.
