At the heart of the Hydros Pro 2 is the intuitive Monorail weight system, which allows weight pockets to slide and lock securely into place using a simple, one-handed motion. Releasing weights is just as easy—simply pull the grey D-handle. The self-draining standard pockets hold up to 10 lb / 4.5 kg each, with optional Mini pockets available separately.

The heavy-duty quick-dry bladder uses SCUBAPRO’s Instant Dry Technology, allowing the BCD to dry almost instantly after use. This dramatically reduces water retention and post-dive weight, making the Hydros Pro 2 an excellent choice for travel. A newly designed Ergo-Lite back plate is 25% lighter than the previous generation and features a body-contoured shape with soft padding and dual top and bottom handles for easy two-handed tank loading. The Hydros Pro 2’s 3D ergonomic design hugs the body for a nearly weightless feel in the water. A built-in torso flex zone automatically adapts to different torso lengths, while the unrestricted internal airflow design reduces air trapping and allows the BCD to deflate easily from any position. A tri-bungee retraction system with two-stage inflation keeps the air cell streamlined underwater while delivering high lift at the surface.

Designed with travel in mind, the Smart-Pack system allows the shoulder and waist straps to fold flat against the back plate and wrap neatly into the wing. Articulated shoulder straps lock open to assist donning and fold flat for compact packing. Body-grip gel panels prevent the BCD from shifting or riding up during the dive, ensuring a stable and secure fit.

With its near-neutral inherent buoyancy, the Hydros Pro 2 requires less lead, improving trim and control underwater. The BC-4-Life modular design allows components to be easily replaced or upgraded, extending the life of the BCD and simplifying maintenance.
