Marine Life on Cocos Island
One of the biggest draws of diving in Cocos Island is the extraordinary biodiversity found in its waters. This marine national park, located in the middle of the Pacific Ocean more than 500 km off the coast of Costa Rica, is considered one of the richest ecosystems on the planet for observing large pelagic species.
During this expedition, it’s common to find large formations of hammerhead sharks patrolling the cleaning points, giant manta rays gliding over the reefs, and whitetip reef sharks resting on the rocky bottom. Eagle rays, huge schools of jacks and tuna moving in sync, and, in certain seasons, even whale sharks are also observed.
An Expedition Designed for Divers
After several organized expeditions to Cocos Island, this trip has become more than just a diving adventure. It’s a shared experience among people who love the ocean, exploration, and extraordinary destinations.
During the trip, unique connections are created between the participants: stories after each dive, dinners on board, and moments that transform a group of divers into a true community.
