Marine Life in the Maldives

This route is designed to showcase the best of Maldivian diving. Over the course of the expedition, we will explore several iconic atolls known for their incredible biodiversity and underwater action.

Each location offers a unique experience, from dramatic channel dives to vibrant coral pinnacles and unforgettable night dives. During the expedition, divers frequently encounter manta rays gliding over cleaning stations, reef sharks patrolling the channels, turtles resting on coral reefs, and large schools of tropical fish filling the water column.

One of the highlights of the route is the chance to see whale sharks, the largest fish in the ocean, particularly in the South Ari Atoll.

During this expedition, we’ll complete up to 20 dives across several of the Maldives’ most iconic atolls. Each day the route takes us to different reefs, channels, and pinnacles, carefully chosen according to ocean conditions and marine life activity.

This flexible approach allows us to maximize our chances of unforgettable encounters with manta rays, reef sharks, eagle rays, turtles, and even whale sharks, while exploring some of the most vibrant coral formations in the Indian Ocean.
